KCSE ADULT EDUCATION

KCSE Adult Classes in Nairobi — Your Opportunity to Complete Secondary Education

Your education can continue, even after a long break. Jolearn Training College offers KCSE adult education for learners who did not complete secondary school and those who want to prepare to improve their previous KCSE results. Study in Nairobi CBD with flexible classes designed to help you balance education, work and family responsibilities. For the 2027 intake, Jolearn will offer a one-year KCSE preparation programme, subject to placement assessment and KNEC examination eligibility. We welcome learners of all ages who completed KCPE. There is no college age limit and no school uniform requirement. Admission to tuition and eligibility to register for a KNEC examination are assessed separately.

No online payment is required to submit an application.

02

Who are these classes for?

This programme is suitable for people who left secondary school before completing it, adults returning after a study break, and previous KCSE candidates preparing to repeat the examination. It also supports learners who need structured revision before sitting KCSE as private candidates, subject to registration requirements.

Some learners had to leave school because of school fees, illness, bereavement, pregnancy or parenting responsibilities, work, family duties, relocation or difficult home circumstances. Others completed school but struggled during examinations because of anxiety, interrupted attendance, health challenges, limited learning resources or gaps in particular subjects.

These experiences do not define your ability to learn. Our admissions team will discuss your previous studies and goals with you and recommend a suitable starting point.

03

Our standard two-year programme structure

Our standard programme has two stages: Year 1 covers Form 1 and Form 2, while Year 2 covers Form 3 and Form 4. We retain this structure to explain the learning pathway. The 2027 intake will follow a one-year preparation programme, rather than a new two-year route extending beyond the final KCSE year.

04

Year 1: Build your Form 1 and Form 2 foundation

Year 1 covers Form 1 and Form 2 work. It is designed for learners who need to rebuild their secondary-school foundation, including those who left in the earlier forms or need a thorough refresh after time away from school.

The emphasis is on understanding core concepts, developing study habits and preparing to progress to Form 3 and Form 4 content in Year 2.

05

Year 2: Prepare with Form 3 and Form 4 content

Year 2 covers Form 3 and Form 4 work and KCSE revision. It is suitable for learners progressing from Year 1, appropriately prepared Form 3 or Form 4 school leavers, and previous KCSE candidates who need intensive examination preparation.

Placement depends on what you have already studied and your readiness. Tuition completion does not itself guarantee examination registration or a particular grade.

06

Plan carefully before the final KCSE examinations

KNEC has announced 2027 as the final KCSE examination year as Kenya moves away from the 8-4-4 school curriculum. If you want to complete or repeat KCSE, seek admission and examination advice promptly.

For 2027, Jolearn will offer a one-year preparation programme. Before enrolling, admissions will assess your previous learning, explain the study workload and confirm examination eligibility and registration requirements. The two-year structure remains a description of our standard learning pathway; it does not imply that a KCSE sitting will be available after 2027.

The transition does not mean that an existing KCSE certificate becomes invalid.

07

What completing KCSE can help you achieve

Completing secondary education can strengthen your reading, communication, mathematics and problem-solving skills. Your KCSE results can help you pursue certificate, diploma, professional or degree programmes where you meet the required mean grade and subject grades.

It may also help you meet education requirements for employment, apprenticeships or further training, improve your confidence, support your business decisions and provide a foundation for continued learning. Admission, funding and employment opportunities depend on the requirements of each institution or employer; they are not automatic.
